Tel Aviv – Caesarea – Haifa – Rosh Hanikra – Akko – Tel Aviv

Caesarea

Your tour begins with pick-up from your Tel Aviv hotel. The first stop is the Mediterranean harbour city of Caesarea, where you’ll visit Caesarea National Park to see ancient Roman ruins of Herod’s Harbour and the Caesarea Roman Theater, one of the biggest amphitheatres built during the Roman era.

Next, travel to Haifa, home to the headquarters of the Baha’i faith, to tour the stunningly terraced Baha’i Gardens.

Rosh Hanikra

Then head to Rosh Hanikra to explore the limestone grottoes carved out of the white cliffs by the sea and gaze across the border into Lebanon.

Your last stop is the ancient port city of Acre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring impressive fortified city walls and the underground Crusader passageways used by the Knights of St. John.

Tel Aviv – Nazareth – Capernaum – Mt of Beatitudes – Sea of Galilee – Tel Aviv

Nazareth

We drive 30 minutes to Nazareth, the boyhood town of Jesus. Visit the Church of the Annunciation, marking the spot where the angel Gabriel informed Maria about her pregnancy. See also Mary’s well whose waters are believed to have healing powers, and if you like St Joseph’s Church, where the carpentry shop thought to have existed. Enroute, see Meggido and Mount Tabor.

Mt of Beatitudes

Then continue to the Mt. of Beatitudes, the traditional site where Jesus hold the Sermon on the Mount. Visit the beautiful church and its surrounding gardens.

Capernaum

Next visit will be to Capernaum, the home of St. Peter. See the nearby archaeological excavations of the synagogue and community.

End the day with a scenic boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.

Masada

Pickup from your hotel lobby and head for the desert fortress Masada. Learn about the heroic story of the Jewish fighters who preferred to commit suicide instead of living under Roman rule. Ascend by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the zealots of the first century made their last stand against the Romans. Visit the remains of the walls, the palace, synagogue, water cisterns.

Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. The water of the lake is so salty, it allows you to float.

Jerusalem – Bethlehem – Jericho – Jerusalem

Bethlehem

Pickup from hotel lobby and start driving to Bethlehem to visit the ancient Church of the Nativity, where one can actually touch the very place where Jesus was born. Built by St. Helena in the 4th century, it has been an active church and never destroyed ever since! Visit the Milk Grotto and the Shepherds Fields in Beit Sahour.

Drive to Jericho, believed to be the oldest city, but definitely the lowest settlement in the world.

Jerusalem – Via Dolorosa – Mt of Olives – Mt Zion – Jerusalem

Via Dolorosa

Rise and shine for an early start of your Jerusalem tour. We enter the Old City through the Lion’s Gate, known also as St. Stephen’s Gate; stopping at St. Anne's Church and the Pool of Bethesda. Then we follow the 14 stations of the Way of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa, ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The church is built over the place where Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected.

Mt of Olives

Afternoon short drive to the Mount of Olives for a spectacular view of the city and the most important Jewish cemetery. Walk down Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane. We see along the way the Chapel of Ascension, the Pater Noster Church, the Dominus Flevit Church and the Maria Magdalena Church, marking all important events in the life of Jesus.

Mt Zion

From the Church of All Nations we drive to the nearby Mount Zion. See here the Last Supper Room, the Dormition Abbey and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, the traditional site where St. Peter denied Jesus three times.

After a long day return transfer to your hotel for a rest.

Jerusalem – City of David – Yad Vashem – Tel Aviv

Start your day at the City of David, believed to be the oldest populated part of Jerusalem and an important archaeological site. You see part of the area above the ground only and also look at the effects of these excavations on the Palestinian village of Silwan.

Then to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Remembrance Centre.

• The Western Wall area is open every day. However please note that on Friday evenings and Saturdays, tourists are not allowed to take any photos.
• Temple Mount Opening Hours: Mon-Thu, winter time: 07:30-10:30, 12:30-13:30 – Mon-Thu, summer time: 08:30-11:30, 13:30-14:30 - Fri & Sat closed.
• For the visit of religious sites you need to dress modestly and cover shoulders and knees.

- Cancellations or changes need to be sent in written form. Charges are as follows:
• 25 $USD of the total price of the trip for cancellations from the date of booking until 31 days before departure.
• 25% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 30 to 08 days before departure.
• 100% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 07 to 01 days before departure or no show.
