West Salalah Tour

Experience the contrast between verdant Salalah and its more rugged surroundings. Situated between the Arabian Sea on one side and a lagoon on the other, the two bodies of water provide a truly unique landscape to the beach and its surrounding areas. Dahriz beach is quite popular all year round, in its location and importance, this lagoon is similar to Khawr Awqad. Khawr Ad Dahareez is located at the eastern entrance of Salalah City in the Governorate of Dhofar. Its waters intermingle with Salalah basin waters, especially the wells located on the coastal strip. This lagoon is important to biodiversity as it is heavily frequented by migratory birds. Proceed to Mughsail Beach where “Blowholes” - (perforations in the limestone rock) through which sea water gushes during high tide. Experience the Hairpin Bend Roads for approximately 15/20 km, which will take you to a wadi. The views are breathtaking due to the heights involved. En route, the stark shape of leafless Frankincense Trees dots the landscape. Once traded as a commodity more precious than gold, frankincense harvested in Dhofar is rated the best in the world. Overnight at hotel.
